What is a credit?

1 credit = 1 minute of audio or video upload.

For example, let's say you need to generate meeting minutes from a 1 hour long recording. 1 hour is 60 minutes, so you need 60 credits to do this.

A 2 hour long meeting would be 120 minutes, and so you would need 120 credits to generate minutes.

How do I get credits?

Every MinutesGenerator sign up gives you 40 credits for free. This lets you upload a short meeting recording for free (so you can test it out).

When you need more credits, you have to buy a plan. Plans are recurring subscriptions.

  • The "Basic" plan gives you 300 credits every month

  • The "Pro" plan gives you 1200 credits every month

When do you get credits?

Credits will be added to your balance as soon as you buy a plan. Then every month, on the same day, you get more credits.

Here is an example timeline:

  1. You sign up for MinutesGenerator

    1. 40 credits are added to your balance

    2. You now have 40 credits

  2. You buy the "Basic" plan

    1. 300 credits are added to your balance

    2. You now have 340 credits

  3. 30 days pass

    1. 300 credits are added to your balance

    2. You now have 640 credits

If I cancel my plan, do I keep my credits?

Yes. We call this "pausing your subscription". You keep your credits and can use them, even if you are not actively subscribed.

This is common for people who don't write minutes often.

For example, let's say you write minutes once per quarter. A monthly subscription gives you too many credits. In this case, you can pause your subscription, and use your credits at any time in the future.

How do credits work for transcript uploads?

You can upload a pre-existing transcript of a meeting, and generate minutes from the transcript.

This costs 50 credits flat. The transcript can be any length.
