Create a custom template from existing minutes

Create a custom minutes template from approved examples and save it to your account.

Written by Max Sherman

Custom templates help MinutesGenerator match the format you use for meeting minutes. Templates you create are saved to your account.

Upload custom template dialog in MinutesGenerator

  1. Open Templates.

  2. Click Upload Template.

  3. Add one to ten examples of finished minutes. PDF, TXT, DOC, and DOCX files are supported.

  4. Use clean, approved examples when possible. Avoid drafts with unusual formatting, comments, or unrelated attachments.

  5. Click Process Template and wait for MinutesGenerator to create the template.

  6. After the template appears in your template list, select it to make it the default for future uploads.

  7. Create new minutes from the dashboard and review the output against your expected format.

If the first generated minutes need too much cleanup, upload better examples or create a more specific template for that meeting type.

If you are part of a team, custom templates are not shared automatically with teammates. Each user manages their own templates.
