How to create minutes from existing files instead of a recording.

You can create minutes from more than audio or video. MinutesGenerator can also work from readable documents, transcripts, notes, and images.

  1. Open the dashboard and click New Upload.

  2. Choose Upload Media File.

  3. Select your file. Use audio or video when you need a transcript created. Use Word or text files when you already have notes or a transcript. Use images when the source is a readable scan or photo.

  4. Upload an agenda if the meeting has one. This is optional, but recommended.

  5. Wait for processing to finish, then open the generated minutes from the dashboard list.

  6. Review the minutes and transcript, make final corrections, then export.

If your source file is a scan or photo, check that the text is legible before upload. Cropping out unrelated pages or handwritten notes usually improves the final minutes.
